Beauty masks can be as simple as the mud found outside or very complicated and cost over $200 per application and include things like gold dust. Though you do not need to have a gold dust facial to have a great beauty mask experience, it is good to know the different types of masks available to known which is best to chose for your skin type or the issue you are trying to tackle.

One of the most simple types of masks are milk and honey masks. These masks are great for people who have dry skin and need good a good rehydration regime. This is a natural mask that can be made at home and once applied to the face and left on for about 15 minutes, can then be peeled off. Easy to make but a bit sticky, the milk and honey mask is a great mask that can be made out of things in your own kitchen.

Another great mask that can easily be made at home is one made from a base of egg yoke. Egg yoke face masks work well because the proteins in the mask help with blemish problems in the skin. The Vitamin A in the yoke also helps to assist in the regeneration of the skin and healing of the problem spots. If you are a person that suffers from breakouts from time to time, a 30 minute egg yoke mask may help to clear up your skin and help to sooth the redness that acne can leave.

A popular store bought mask is a clay mask. People who have oily skin and have issues with excess oil problems can find refuge in a mask that is primarily made from a clay base. The clay is applied to the skin wet and then dried over 15-30 minutes. During the drying time the clay helps to tighten the skin and thus, the pores then become smaller. There are many different formulas and mixtures on the market, and different clays can react adversely to different skin types. Be sure to check the clay type when you are purchasing a clay mask so that you get the right one.

Be sure when applying any facial beauty mask to do so to previously cleaned and dried skin, on both the face and the neck. All hair should be pulled back and out of the way as to not interfere with the mask.

Beauty masks can be one of the simplest and most beneficial things that you can do for the upkeep of your face. The regular use of beauty masks can rejuvenate the skin and depending on the type of mask chosen, fix a common skin issue.

With so many products and claims on the market how do you know which ones are safe and effective? You need to be diligent about checking labels and avoiding any harsh or dangerous ingredients such as parabens and petrochemicals including paraffin, mineral oil, petroleum, petrolatum, and Vaseline. The EWG’s Skin Deep Database offers vast information on products and ingredients that are safe for you and your family to use. In the mean time, there are a number of proven alternatives that promote beautiful skin naturally minus dangerous or toxic chemicals.

Red Light Therapy

Red light therapy uses NASA based technology to stimulate collagen synthesis, boost cellular activity, and increase cell renewal and turnover. Red LED wavelengths ranging from 630-660 nanometers and infrared wavelengths in the 880 nm range have been proven to gently permeate the layers of the skin and tissue renewing, stimulating, regenerating, and repairing any existing damage. Home units such as the DPL Therapy System have taken the anti-aging market by storm due to their effectiveness at rejuvenating the skin. The DPL System has been shown to reduce wrinkles, diminish age spots and scarring, promote an even skin tone, and help firm the skin. It’s a safe, painless, and non-invasive option for getting more beautiful skin.

Facial Exercises

Underneath your facial skin lies a complex and intricate system of muscles that dictate your every expression. As you age these muscles begin to lose their tone and strength giving way to drooping and sagging. Programs such as Facial Magic and The Facial Workout use very precise and exact exercises and movements to firm and tone your muscles helping to naturally lift your skin giving it a more youthful appearance naturally and safely.

Natural Skin Care

There are amazing skin care products available that use only natural, safe, and effective ingredients to promote healthier skin. Skin care lines such as Renu Derma, Shankara, Rhonda Allison, and Epicuren use high quality, natural ingredients to refresh, renew, and encourage a vibrant and beautiful complexion without using dangerous or toxic properties.

Obtaining beautiful skin is in your hands and is achievable with these natural alternatives. You can promote a healthier complexion by using products that don’t risk your health and are safe for you as well as your entire family. You have to be careful about checking labels and make sure to use only safe products. Natural products such as the DPL Therapy System and Facial Magic will help ensure that your skin looks, acts, and feels younger and healthier.

Beauty of the skin starts from inside your body! Your skin needs fresh air, exercise, a proper diet, minerals and vitamins and it needs protection from the sun.

Many people just put skin cream on their skin, thinking it is going to make it soft and smooth. Skin cream on the skin feels soft and smooth, but if you want your skin to benefit from that cream, you need to dampen your skin first then add the cream. The cream will help retain the moisture in the skin.

Start walking and building up your muscle tone. Muscle tone will keep your skin from looking so saggy.

Keep your skin clean. Do not scrub your face. The face does not need scrubbing. And, neither does your back. In fact, the more you scrub on it, the more acne you can get and more trauma to your skin.

A warm face cloth with a non-chemical soap, patted. Then a good gentle rinse. You next dry your face by patting with a soft clean towel. You can actually not use soap on your face at all, especially if you have dry skin.

USE Alpha Hydroxy Acids (AHAs) as a perfect exfoliate for your face. A good cream should last a long time and not be expensive. Use it at night when you wash your face before going to bed.

It is derived from fruit, milk and sugar cane and when used on the skin it helps remove the dead skin cells, which will give your face a much younger, fresher look.

Easy, effective and cheap ways to do a mask are: Use an egg yolk and honey mask. Just mix one egg yolk with a little honey and spread it on your face and neck. When it dries, rinse it off. It makes your skin feel very soft.

Another one:

Use plain egg yolk. It is good for acne, too. Mix it up. Spread it on your face for 20 to 30 minutes. Rinse it off.

Another one:

Take plain egg white, beat up the egg white, and then spread it on your face until dry about 20 minutes, rinse off with water. This leaves your face refreshed and helps clean the pores. You can make masks of many things that are right in your kitchen, such as oatmeal. Grind it up. Mix it with some skimmed milk and let it dry. Rinse well. Milk can attract bacteria so you don’t want to leave it on your face.

Ancient Chinese Secrets from Ning Hua: Wrinkles Reduction

Two tablespoons of fresh cucumber juice and same amount of egg white (about one egg), stir well, and then apply on wrinkles every night after cleansing. In the morning, rinse off thoroughly using warm water. Keep using for a month, your skin will be firmed, your wrinkles will disappear.

Pigment Fading:

5 teaspoons fresh tomato juice with 1 teaspoon honey, apply on the pigment, rinse off thoroughly. Keep using for 10-15 days; your pigment will fade away.

Fruit Mask:

Juice apple, cucumber and pear, mixed with flour, add a teaspoon of water, and stir thoroughly. Apply after cleansing, avoiding eye and mouth areas, leave on for 20 minutes and rinse off thoroughly.

Looking for that perfect beauty facial skin care tip? How about going “all natural”? There are a growing number of experts (doctors, nutritionists, cosmeticians, etc) who believe that anything you put on your face should be natural and safe enough to eat.

Practically all cosmetics contain preservatives and other chemicals that can be absorbed through your pores. Since, some of the common ingredients are known to cause cancer, rubbing them all you’re your face or anywhere on your body, really doesn’t seem like a good idea. With that in mind, we found five masks that you can cook up right in your own kitchen, suggestions for lightening age spots or dark circles and a little advice about buying all natural skin care products.

Beauty Facial Skin Care Tip for the Eyes

You may have seen this in TV shows, but it really works. To lighten dark circles under your eyes, wrap a grated raw potato in cheesecloth and apply to eyelids for 15-20 minutes or you can simply use cucumber slices. You will notice that your eyes feel cooler and when you look in the mirror, you will see less puffiness and dark areas will look lighter. Wipe off the residue and apply a restorative eye gel. The best ones contain COQ10, vitamin E, brown algae and other nourishing ingredients.

Beauty Facial Skin Care Tip to Relieve Dryness

This mask is created using 1 tablespoon of olive oil and 2 of fresh cream. Mix the two together and apply to the face. Wait ten minutes and rinse. It’s very simple, but hydrating and also nourishing. Make sure that both the olive oil and the cream are fresh and contain no added flavorings or preservatives. Use about once a week.

Beauty Facial Skin Care Tip For Excessive Oiliness

Most products on the market are too harsh. They strip away too many of your natural oils that protect your face from the damaging elements. But, when you have excessive oiliness, there are food products that will absorb some of the oil, because they are naturally acidic, thus slightly changing the pH balance.

You can mix a tablespoon of honey with one egg white (not the yolk) and apply thickly to your forehead, neck and other problem areas. Leave the mask on for 10 minutes. Then wash with a mild cleanser.

Honey and egg white are sometimes difficult to mix. You can also use two tablespoons or more of papaya pulp, with at least 10 drops of lemon juice. Apply as you would any other mask. Leave for 20 minutes and then rinse well. You’ll see papaya and avocado masks in the stores, but they contain preservatives and artificial fragrances and colors. Making your own is safer and just as effective.

Any fruit juice contains vitamin C, which is naturally acidic. When used in a facial, they refresh, stimulate circulation, close pores and act as an antioxidant destroying free radicals produced after exposure to the sun. Cooked and mashed carrots and honey can also be used.

Beauty Facial Skin Care Tip for All Skin-types

Honey is one of the best masks, but active manuka honey is the most effective. It can be difficult to find, but is available in one of the better all-natural skincare lines.

Before the honey is applies, you should put a very warm damp towel over your face to open your pores. Following a 20 minute soak in honey, rinse off with warm water. Follow with cold to tighten and close the pores. You can use this about once a week. Yogurt and honey or fruit juice can be mixed together to create a thicker and more nourishing mask. Follow the same directions as above. Use only plain, unflavored yogurt.

Our final beauty facial skin care tip is this; if you are too busy to make your own, look for 100% natural ingredients that nourish, heal and allow the skin-cells to repair themselves. The best products are made by a New Zealand company and sold only directly from the factory, so they cost less than department store varieties.

I like to treat myself to an at home facial once a week. Everyone should indulge in a facial regularly to deep cleanse the skin, shed dead skin cells, break down discoloration and to supercharge their skin with a potent blend of moisture, antioxidants and beneficial healing.

There are six steps included in this facial and each step is very simple and very beneficial.

Step 1. Cleanse your skin. Moisten your face and work your cleanser into your skin for about one to two minutes (the cleanser needs time to penetrate the layers of skin and draw out dirt and debris), then rinse with a warm, wet washcloth.

Step 2. Scrub. Work your scrub into moist skin for one to two minutes, moving in circular motions over the entire face. Rinse with a warm, wet washcloth. I prefer a gentle scrub of baking soda and water with one drop of Frankincense essential oil, which is excellent for wrinkles and damaged skin, or Helichrysum essential oil which is a powerful antioxidant and overall skin beautifier.

Step 3. Warm Compress – Don’t Steam! Steam is water which has been raised to a temperature of 212 degrees – that’s extremely hot. When such a high temperature comes into contact with the skin it is very traumatic for the skin and can even burn the skin. It can even break down elasticity and collagen in the skin over time as well. Instead use a warm compress. A beneficial compress can be made from lavender (calming, anti-fungal), chamomile (inflammation, cooling), yarrow (redness) and rose (tightening, elasticity). Place about 2 handfuls of fresh herbs or 3 Tbsp dry herbs in a pot filled with water. Boil, then cover and let steep for 30 minutes. Soak a cloth in the mixture, wring it out and lay it on your face until cool. Repeat several times to soften the skin and pass the herbal benefits into your skin.

Step 4. Extraction. Once the skin is softened I like to use a blackhead extractor to extract any pimples on the surface of my skin. However, it’s very easy to tear and traumatize your skin with this tool, so be very gentle when using this tool and use light pressure. Before and after using the tool sterilize it with alcohol. If you want to go this step without an extractor then wash your hands and wrap your index fingers in tissue and gently press both sides of the pimple for a clean extraction.

Step 5. Mask. Apply a thin layer of your mask and leave on for about 20 minutes. Remove with a warm, wet washcloth. If you have trouble removing all of the mask then use a little of your cleanser to remove any remaining mask which may be linger on your skin.

Step 6. Moisturize. Apply a moisturizer to your skin to seal in moisture. I love using jojoba oil as a moisturizer because it contains wonderful nutrients and has antibacterial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, moisturizing and soothing properties. It’s wonderful for skin!

You’re finished! Now go out and face the world, beautiful!

When it comes to looking great, people have tried just about everything to have healthy looking skin. Some of the stuff that was tried throughout history are known poisons and even did a lot of damage to the skin before they tried something else. Skin care and cosmetics companies quickly realized that they needed to test their products on animals before selling it to test for toxicity and other effects, but animal rights activists finally got that type of testing outlawed. The reason companies needed to thoroughly test their products is because of all the chemicals they use to make their products. But companies that make organic facial care products have a much easier time because all their products don’t use those chemicals.

It seems like just about every chemical in existence was tried at one point in time or the other. Even dangerous chemicals like arsenic and formaldehyde were used in a variety of products, and many of the chemicals in use today makes you really wonder just exactly what these companies are thinking. And virtually every product made from traditional methods is packed with one kind of preservative or other. In order for their products to stay usable for as long as possible without degrading and breaking down, preservatives have to be included. With this mix of chemicals and preservatives in traditional products, is it any wonder people have skin issues?

Organic facial care products take a completely different approach. By using organics that are actually good for the skin, not only does the skin look and feel better, but it’s healthier too. This means that people who have had issues with skin types, from dry skin, oily skin or the dreaded combination skin may actually see their skin type normalize because the skin tolerates and even needs all natural products to be its best. Regardless of the product needed, being able to use an organic based product instead of a chemical based one makes for better, and maybe even easier, skin care.

And it doesn’t matter which product you want to use. Whether you’re looking for skin care products like exfoliators, cleansers, scrubs and masks, there are organic versions available. Even all the cosmetics like powders, bases, blushes, eyeliners, lash extenders, lipsticks and lip gloss all have organic versions available. The best thing about organic products is the fact that they do at least as good a job as their chemical filled counterparts, but usually do an even better job. Check out all the great products available and take better care of your skin with all natural face care products. You’ll be glad you did when you look in the mirror and see how great your skin looks.

While younger people take their skin for granted, older and more experienced men and women alike spend thousands of dollars yearly on products that promise them dewy, healthy and youthful skin. These said products claim to keep the signs of aging at bay, including wrinkles, age spots and dry skin. These are also the same products that promise to prevent acne and other skin imperfections. While these expensive products can be beneficial for your skin, there are other facial skin care methods, including the use of a facial steamer, which can also help maintain a youthful skin. Here are the top five facial skin care tips you need to use:

1. Stay out of the sun or use a sunscreen. Skin experts have long warned people out of staying under the sun without protection. While sporting a balanced and beautiful golden skin in the summer can reel in some stares and appreciation, it will also give you skin damage in the process. Constant sun exposure is believed to be the culprit for age spots as you grow older. Sun exposure is also believed to exacerbate acne in people who are prone to getting them. Avoid any activities under the sun as much as possible. If you cannot avoid such activities, remember to use sunscreen adequately.

2. Stay hydrated. Our body is made up of 70% water. As such, drinking eight hours of glasses on a daily basis can help the cells in your body, including your skin cells, maintain homeostasis. Another benefit of drinking the adequate amount of water is that it helps your body get rid of the toxins, which may be manifesting through blemishes, acne and dry skin.

3. Exercise. Regular physical activity helps increase the blood flow, thereby keeping the skin cells healthy, promoting the excretion of waste products as well as harmful free radicals, which are known to cause damage to the skin. Furthermore, exercising can also help you decrease stress, which is known to exacerbate certain skin conditions such as eczema and acne.

4. Moisturize. If there is one secret on earth that most people need to know in order to take care of their skin, it is to moisturize as early as possible. Moisturizers do not only keep the skin hydrated and soft, it also helps protect sensitive skin as well as improve your skin tone. There are different types of moisturizers that you can choose from, depending on the type of skin you have. They usually offer moisturizers for people with normal skin, dry skin, oily skin, combination skin and mature skin.

5. Use a facial steamer. Steamers are known to emit steam directly into the face which helps to promote skin blood circulation, softens and opens pores for easy removal of dead skin debris and dirt as well as allows deep cleansing, rehydrating and rejuvenation. Some people with acne find that steaming their face at least once or twice on a weekly basis has helped improve their skin condition. There are also different types of steamers you can choose from.

If you want to have a dewy and youthful skin that is the envy of many, you work hard for it. Consider using sunscreen, exercising, purchasing a facial steamer and moisturizing regularly.

Over the last years many skin care products have appeared in the market, some don’t work, others work a little and others are not even safe to use, so how do you choose the right beauty skin care cream? What are the ingredients that you have to look for?

First you need to know that as we age our skin loses some firmness and elasticity because our body decreases the production of elastin and collagen proteins. However free radical oxidation is also a major cause of skin damage and it is usually our fault because we do not protect our skin correctly and we have very unhealthy lifestyle.

So what you need to do is use a good skin care face cream that improves your skin at the cellular level but you also need to make some lifestyle changes to prevent the formation of wrinkles and premature skin aging.

The best creams that i have used are the ones that are made with natural ingredients like avocado extract, jojoba oil, manuka honey, grape seed oil, vitamin c, water and others. But there are also some potent natural compounds like cynergytk, CoenzymeQ10 and Wakame kelp that can do wonders for your skin.

On the other hand common creams use chemical ingredients and synthetic substances that are not healthy for your skin like parabens, petrolatum, alcohol, fragrances and mineral oil.

If you really want to improve the health of your skin from the inside out you need to use natural beauty creams, if you keep using the same products you will not get any long term benefit because those creams only work on the surface of your skin.

Really good natural creams can stimulate your skin collagen and elastin production, have potent anti oxidants and increase your hyaluronic acid. This way your skin will be protect it from free radicals and prevent the formation of the signs of aging.

To have beautiful, soft, radiant skin you need to eat plenty of the right fresh fruits, vegetables, fiber, and water. Water and fiber are critical because it helps to move out toxins using the regular channels of elimination rather than using the skin as an exit point.

A word of Caution: Sudden face or body eruptions can indicate a potentially serious medical condition. If your blemishes look large and like welts, this could be caused by a serious medical condition and you would need to see your doctor immediately.

You can deal with you acne or skin problems by, also applying known nutritional and herbal remedies that give you better health and give your skin the nutrients it needs.

The beauty of your skin is a reflection of the health of your organs and upon your psychological condition. The way the inside of your body looks like is reflected on your face, physical appearance and your thoughts.

The amount of work you put into clearing your acne will determine how quickly you clear your face. By being consistent in following good health practices, you will be able to get rid of your acne.

If your acne is heredity, it is not true that you cannot do anything about it. If you know that other members of the family have had acne and previous generations also, then you are susceptible to acne. Knowing this, you can now arm yourself with some powerful nutritional and hygiene habits that will prevent acne from taking hold.

Traditional Medical Acne Treatments

I do not recommend using medications for acne, such as,

* Benzoyl peroxide – opens pores to kill bacteria
* Antibiotics – erythromycin, tetracycline – kill bacteria everywhere it goes in your body and skin.
* Retin A – helps to break open plugged pores, prevents new plugged pores, and helps to prevent scarring.
* Topical steroid, cortisone derivative, drug

These drugs and many others have serious side effects that you will want to avoid. If you are dark skinned and are using Benzoyl Peroxide, you can end up spotting your face as a side effect.

Most of these medications take three to ten weeks to provide results.

All my recommendations are for natural methods to relieve acne.

Different Remedies

In future articles, I will be outlining some of the remedies and steps you need to take to clear your acne. These remedies and natural foods that you use will not only help beatify your skin but will also help you to get rid of acne.

You may have to experiment to determine what works for you. By providing you with many choices, this gives you the best possible chance of you succeeding in gaining better health for your face. Also, not all remedies provide the same benefits to each person.

So this is where your experimental skills come in. You may have to test a few things, but in the process you will be learning about how to take care of your body. This information will stay with you a lifetime.

Being one of the wonders among vitamins, using vitamin C for acne scars is a great treatment. All vitamins are important, but this one is responsible for strengthening the immune system, it is an antioxidant, and it actively participates in the wound healing process. Since acne leaves behind many scars and open wounds, vitamin C is an important element to be taken into consideration when dealing with pimples, zips, and everything related to this condition.

How exactly is vitamin C good for acne scars?

It produces collagen. Collagen is important in healing and scaring, as it is found in about 25-35% of our body protein content (in tendons, ligaments, bones, cartilage, skin, and so on). It is also an important factor in counterfeiting the aging process.

It is an antioxidant. Antioxidants are very important for our bodies, the essential ones being vitamin A, C and E. Thus, vitamin C protects the body from infections and helps it fight against free radicals (the enemies with which antioxidants fight). Vitamin C is good for acne scars, as antioxidants also help heal the skin and its wounds.

It plays an important role in the growth of new skin tissue. It has thus healing properties, as new tissue is needed in wounded places.

How can I provide my body with vitamin C?

It is easy to follow a treatment based on vitamin C for acne scars as this vitamin is to be found in the majority of fruits and vegetables, but also in pharmaceutical products. Foods that contain high levels of vitamin C include bell peppers, apples, oranges, lemons, broccoli, kiwi, papayas and strawberries. Of course, the list can go on, as the number is far greater than just the examples provided above. If you feel like the dosage you get from these fruits and vegetables does not provide you with enough vitamin C to treat acne scars, you can always ask a pharmacist to give you a bottle of vitamin C supplements.

Another option is to treat your scars locally with vitamin C. For example, apply lemon juice on the affected areas and let it act for half an hour. Your skin will become smoother, younger, and the redness from your face will slowly fade away. All you have to do is be patient.

Is there any possibility that I can take an overdose of Vitamin C when treating my acne scars?

It is very unlikely. It is water soluble, which means that your body will not store it; it will be eliminated very soon after ingestion. This is why you have to consume it daily. However, you will know you took too much when diarrhea or cramping install. Do not exaggerate in your treatment with vitamin C for acne scars!

Acne scars can be treated effectively with vitamin C, but an overdose can have exactly the opposite effect. After all, everything that is too much is harmful to our bodies. But the side-effects will pass in a short period of time. You may want to reduce the dosage for the next couple of days, though.

It is important to keep in mind that a single type of treatment is often not enough to fight severe acne. Combine it with other treatments and you will have better and faster results. For a professional advice, however, always visit a doctor (in this case, a dermatologist) to prescribe you the best treatment with vitamin C for acne scars.
